well my TIG i bought 2010 ish that was working before i moved seems to have developed a Fault
Bought from co called LTS way back and recall them been badged under all sorts of different rebrands including Jasic etc
yes it was cheap and to be fair i never had any trouble with mine and its paid for itself its made ally fuel tanks and welded up a an ally sump and gearbox tail housing and not upset if she doesn't survive but as im a dab hand at repairing stuff and electronically minded i thought i might have a look at what's up with it before buying another?
nothing loose or inside and the symptom is turning on the fans run for 3-5 sec and then shut down but the switch stays lit and essentially not passing "self test"
i can see the first PCB (lower RH corner) seems to be the power supply and there is a couple of bridge rectifier's connected to this board, a bunch of 4 Massive caps, couple of relays and transformer and what i suspect to be resettable fuse
my bet is that something is shorted and the resettable fuse is going open circuit and cutting the fan - yes i am aware it could be 300-400v dc in this type of circuit and im aware some discharging of caps is required
would anyone have reliable set of circuit diagrams or schematics that are high enough res to be readable? asi am not coming up with much in my hunt
