I bought a "Yeapook" a clone of the FNIRSI 100MHz dual trace. It has always been a bit flaky and it has now failed completely. There are lots of the same and similar devices on the market but I am not sure what to go for. This particular model seems to have an inherent defect, it starts and then the display vanishes, to do with MLCC failure from what I can gather.

A quick scan of Amazon comes up with different styles, but I want something to use on the bench...

Thank you. I ordered the 200MHz version because I got caught out by them quoting pre-VAT prices. It seems to have UK support which is an advantage, so we will see. Direct they are slightly cheaper than Amazon. I am going to do a Section 75 with Amex for the Yeapook junk, but their chat function went down as I was doing it earlier.

Anyone want a Yeapook (Firnsi) for repair?

I've become addicted to watching electronics "fix it" videos on youtube and this might be a good one to start with.

Yes, certainly. It is currently working but will no doubt fail again next time. I think if you leave it powered up, even in its faulty state for a few hours, it may well work again for a session due to the warmth being dissipated in the cabinet.
