Chicago Electric fails to start

Hi,
Our shop just got a second hand Chicago Electric Systems PC 3500.

The unit came with the ``Gun`` removed so first thing we did was plug it in. The connectors were color coded appart from a white wire and a red one, but their location seems pretty obvious and when they`re inversed, we get the same effect.

Tried all below with standard iron, galvenised, and stainless

Now what happens is that with the machine turned on, no gas comes out and no blue flame.

When close to the grounded metal, nothing.

When touching the metal, nothing.

We tested at 30psi, 40psi, 50psi, 60psi, 70psi, and 100psi with all of which not working.

All parts related to the pistol are new.

Compressor is an 80G so CFM`s would be stable.

Press the tip down against something (takes a good bit of force). If the tip moves in about 1/16" then it does not have a pilot arc. Press down and release to start the arc.

The copper tip doesn`t move because I think I screwed it on to tight so I loosened it up a bit to get some movement and still nothing.

I put almost all my weight pushing down and still nothing.

There is an amber light that just turned on.
The little image looks like an oval with a block on the top.

Turns out the electronic pressure safety switch was mal adjusted.

If that makes any sense :P

Yes, my ProArc had the same problem. The switch was actually stuck. Just moved the adjustment and it was fine.

The previous owner had to replace the torch twice. Looks like he had a lot of water in his air and the corroded the parts. Mine you push down the torch. The mechanism was stuck, probably with corrosion.
