I never knew this, but most fridges seem to have them. We wouldn’t have discovered it but my missus put the shopping away in a bit of a rush and didn’t notice that the 6pt of milk she had laid down sideways at the back was leaking slightly. What luck! It turns out there is a feed to a handy sized cheese tray at the rear on top of the compressor, which is positioned to pasteurise it for you. When you notice the fragrance, all you have to do is pull out the fridge, remove 6 bolts, four pressed metal mounting pegs for the compressor, disconnect the electrical feed, pick away enough cheese at the top to access the non-removable sealed plastic clip holding the tray in place, and voila, one ready made cheese. Hardly worth going to the cheese counter any more.
