cheapo primer gun alert

thought this was a good deal £15 for a 2.2mm sealey primer gun , should hose thick primers on a treat and almost disposable at that price

personal choice /depends on product ....2.2mm is BIG , so ideal for thick product /low end jobs where you want to lash on one coat of unthinned paint etc

Downside of that gun is that it appears to be a standard gun, not HVLP or LVLP. They are very inefficient meaning that 2/3 of the paint you put through it ends up in the air & not on the thing you are painting! What you are saving on the cheap gun will quickly be lost on wasted paint.

Since switching to HVLP I've found that I use at least half the paint I used with a standard gun, a huge saving in paint cost! So its well worthwhile investing in a decent HVLP or LVLP gun.
