Judging by all the photo's I've seen on here, and my own shed included, we must be an accident prone lot on here.

I like tidy, spent the full day Saturday in my shed, never had to look for anything as it was in the correct draw, makes doing this so much less frustrating.

Only issue was my brain not remembering which drawer I put things in!

Some people are naturally tidy and can function that way, others are not and can't function in tidiness. I am the latter

In all fairness I'm a little bit like that. Nothing irritates me more than rummaging through odds and ends on a work bench to try and find stuff. Must just be me then

I am the opposite, can usually find things easily in the midden but when things are tidied away for safe keeping I can never remember where that safe spot was.
Then again I have 10x the stuff that I have space for so that doesn't help

Each to their own I guess, I'm somewhere between the 2. I'm generally fairly untidy, but every couple of months I'll have a blitz and it's ok for a while, then it'll degenerate again until it gets unbearable and I have to sort it.

Back onto the topic I can't stand cheap nasty tool boxes either. I tend to fill each draw to the max in no time and quite often the bottom of the drawer bulges under the load making it impossible to open or close. Single wall thin sheet construction soon ends up deformed with a 100kg of steel chucked in it. They also don't have any weight in them to counter balance the weight applied in an open drawer and fully loaded can see the bleeding thing on top of you with a drawer or two pulled open.
I quite agree the Halfords ones are very good as are the Kennedy among some others.
The newer snap on ones are not that great anymore since they moved away from the Canada KRL line and started producing them I think in China. Thank goodness I still hung onto mine.
Those really cheap ones are no good if you want to load em up and cart em about but for lighter odds and ends sitting in the corner of a shop they would probably serve a purpose.

And it I will say for the price i am reasonably pleased

It isn't as good as the Teng tools tool box i have but it is as good if not better then the cheap nasty ones i say in halfords

I have one similar to that, except flat top, bought it maybe 4 years ago. doesn't get used much now but I used to have my choc full topbox sitting on it. It was a bit wobbly like that but using it as intended it's been fine for the money . Even in the damp conditions it looks as good as the day it arrived.

Must have a really tidy mind then as when apprentice TV repair man 60+ years ago I made a brief case & foam tool carry (should have patented) then went to the dark side in the motor trade we used Shadow boards for all tools we supplied spanners sockets screwdrivers, minimal personal tools on site.
The floors were painted this was in late 60s seat covers, clean overalls, oil wiped up if spilt immediately , so age, time & finance is an excuse & today with H&S if some one is hurt the judge would just laugh

I have 3 metal tool boxes, a cheapy clarke one, bought 20 years ago post burglary, still usable, still all working but quite shallow back to front. No roller bearings. Plan going forward is to donate the top half to her in doors shed for her farmy stuff. And use the bottom have to move between lathe and mill for mic, vernier, bits and bobs cup of tea etc beside me when doing stuff.

Another from RS must be about 20 years old. No roller bearings, has been in a damp shed all its life, inherited when I bought the house, works good deep drawers back to front, in effect next size up to the clarke. But has surface rust in places, really should clean it up and paint it.

Last year I treated my self to a kirkland Costco box, for the money quality is good, roller drawers, surface finish is like crinkle paint which collects dust.

Then I have some trusty bisley filling cabinet drawers. And my treasured moore and wright tool makes box.

Man can never have enough drawers.
