Ahhh, urrrrm. Hadnt even thought about that, but yes, while it doesnt make it totally useless, certainly something to be very aware of.This helmet will not protect against severe impact such as bursting abrasive wheels and discs.
health and safety police . im glad to see theres someone who can see both sides of the coin. im all for safety but sometimes it goes a little 2 farI think that you'd be fine in the majority of cases. Spatter, grinding sparks, blimey, your eyelids will stand most of that.Really. But I felt duty bound to point this out. I am the national safety manager for a major UK company and I could not issue this to people as impact protection. I'd have no comeback at all against the manufacture in terms of standards if one failed. Do I think it would fail, against a fibre reinforced depressed center disc? Nah, unlikely. Would I chance it? Yeah, probably. Would I tell someone else it was fine to take my word for it. Nope. When you are not at work, it's a free World. Make your own choices, that's what I say. But do it with knowledge, not in ignorance. When you are AT work, there's some stuff about rules and the like.
