I just bought a pair of these and I am impressed with the quality for a cheap tool I won't use much. I haven't tested them yet mind you. I expected far worse tinny crap, but they are pretty heavy duty and well made.

I have a 4 core 35mm cable to join in the new year then it will be mainly used for fitting lugs on welding cable.

I bought a pair of those a few weeks ago for doing battery cables, I think they were 11.99.

I am well pleased with them for the price. The only thing I had to do was change the circlips on the die pins as they were a bit loose in the groove.

I crimped a load of 175amp Anderson plugs with them back last week with 25mm cable and they did the job.

Hard to say, but for 11.99 you could buy a pair every year for ten years!

They are ok for the occasional use that I will put them through.

They would be used once a month maybe more but I've been bitten by cheap tools in the past.

u cant realy go wrong for the price -there hardly likely to fall to bits and u could beef them up if they did. i have a large cast steel pair made by bicc cost about 100 quid but i got em giventhere worth a punt for that price though and probs give years of service

Its one of those rare cases when a cheap Chinese tool is actually worth buying, If it does all the crinps for my four solar panels and battery bank it will have been money well spent.

I could loan it out for a fiver ,and get my money back in no time.

Buy one Chris , sell it on here if it's not what you want. Put up plenty of pictures as well please you never know who is looking for something like that ..



Well well well, in never ....... .

The look very straight forward and simple to use , I've just gone and ordered a pair .

I looked at the pictures , enlarged them .. the tool looks idea for swaging copper tube or home made aluminium ferrules on some marine grade stainless steel wire that I have .
I've had it for months and months , just been trying to justify a big spend on professional crimps that give the same crimp form .

If the swage forms bust I know a man who can & will make me a new set in some a very high quality induction hardened steel
