Cheap 2 post ramp

I do not but assume they are chinese at that price and I wouldn't be keen on them.

I would recommend looking for a used ramp. Bargains are available.

Just make sure spares are available, they generally are from the big manufacturers.

I have an early 90s 3 Tonne tecalemit, up and running for about £700. Spares availability is excellent. Just an idea.

Yeah I've been looking but can't find anything single phase I've found a ramp I've used before for 1500 what I know is better quality

Where are you and how high is that post

Ah single phase, overlooked that. Im spoiled having 3 phase.

If its in good shape and a good ramp then £1500 isnt ridiculous.

A misunderstanding, my ramp isn't for sale, just giving you an example of what Is out there.

Theres a guy in my home town that has been supplying and fitting this cheap asian gear just like in the link for a year now..the same guy is not a liked man at all and will end up being off work for a long time after taking a fall when caught up with by garage owners who have the same lifts out of action because they have broke and cant get the gaurantee to make things better Ok enough of this cryptic stuff...man buys a ship full of Chinese 2 posters the same as above that are shockingly not fit for the job and floods the local small garages and 40% of them break.

I have a Laycock 3t 4-post and I run it on an inverter without issue. I paid £300 for it a few years back and it came out of a post office workshop.

One thing to bare in mind with some of the cheaper 2 post lifts they only lift the maximum rating when in optimal positions ie vehicle/arms in specific postion. The better brands will lift stated weights in all positions.

I think from a safety point of view it's even more important to buy better quality with a 2 post lift.

guy who rents a unit from me has a Chinese 2 poster, looks a lot like the one in that video but it's rated at 3ton (video says 10,000lb which is ~4.5ton)

looks almost the same as the one in the ebay add too, different pump but same setup, same top plats ontop of the posts etc..

he bought it after he saw another mechanic who had one and no problems for 1+year

slight down side, when you want to lower the lift, you have to pull a little steel rope at the mast to release the safety locks... and you have to do it at each lift. no big deal if it's for diy stuff, but a bit of a pain if you're commercial
