Chassis black

[Hitch]

I need some black paint, to spray up some ornamental garden 'ironwork'

Satin/semigloss finish required, and the cheaper the better.

Plenty of well priced 2.5/5l tins on that auction site, down as chassis black.

Is there anything special about it?

some chassis black iv used gives a nice thick satin look, it looks more like powder coat compared to the finish you get with hammerite smooth.

cant remember the make of the one i use, think it came from frost

I was looking at some the other day for chassis etc, POR-15 have a range including a coat which gives you the original new cast iron look. It is more expensive than the cheaper brands, but it's good stuff! Hope this is of some help?
