Hello, I'm new to the forum.
I finally brought myself a ac/dc tig welder as i been toying with the idea for ages. I got my hands on a BOC (murex) transtig ac/dc 375. got it all coupled up, selected tig mode, pressed the button on the torch and the gas fired up, the pilot arc (HF) fired but the main arc didn't fire up,
I have had checked all the connections on the unit. both water feeds are coupled, gas coupled, the trigger control coupled and even checked the earth and swapped it out for the one on the mig welder.
Can anyone point me in any direction that i can chase before i have to take the bull by the horns and call in a repair man.
