Changing flanges on ac motor

I have unscrewed the flange off the motor be am wanting to change it for a b5 flange but I can slide the old flange off so far but it seems to pull alsorts with it. I can't seem to get it off the bearing on the shaft this is the flange I am trying to remove.

It's all part of the motor.

You either need a new motor or flange adaptor, if such a thing exists.

When you say, Flange are you referring to the end cover?

As above that is the front of the the motor. I may be wrong but i haven't seen a off the shelf foot to flange mount adapter.
You can fabricate one but a motor swap may be easier.
Cant tell from pic what motor you have, but if it contains a switch, be careful you do not damage starting at the front. Its normally best to start dismantling form the back.

Whenever i ask about flange mount motors, you can normally see pound signs in my meter mans eyes.

I've changed quite a few front covers on 3 and 1 phase motors. Normally come off ok or has this got the single phase switch in the back? Some of the motors have a plate screwed on behind the front bearing. Sometimes easier to take the back cover off and knock the whole thing through, then get the front one off.

You have taken the key out? IIRC the bearing stays behind in the end plate and you may have to drift it to the rear to remove it.

Took a motor apart last week rear bearing was bolted into the rear flange and required the fan removing to do that. May be helpful to remove the fan and rotor first to check if front bearing is secured to flange with either bolts or a circlip

I thought when you bought a motor on say eBay they all started with the cover I have and the sellers just simply change them to suit buyers request. It's amtecs and they do sell just the flange for them

Have just looked on there web site prices look quite good.
Lots of options including forced ventilation, i was looking for one a few weeks back ended up modifying a standard motor.

I already have a motor from amtecs but just wanted to put a pump flange on the motor
