hi everyone 1st time in here.

Got a question and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Going for a mig weld assesment tomorrow im not up to 6G standard but can do butt welds in most positions. Is ther a BS standard i can go for or is back to college :

Thanks. what kind of positions does that cover and is that still way off a 6G or asme 1X standard

ive got bs 4872 part 1 1982 in mild steel and stainless in the flat and downhand butt and hori/vertical tee,not sure how far off that is from asme but @ a guess probably quite a way from it,id like to get a crack @ flux core welding as theres lots off jobs going @ really good rates off pay.
