Ceramic top cooker

Recently bought a new ceramic top cooker. Is there any point in me keeping the old one for spares? Do ceramic rings blow and can they be changed like the older ring cookers?

I think ceramic hobs are wire-wound elements so normally last ok. Spares not needed.

If it's Halogen bulbs under a ceramic hob, keep the ring/bulb units for spares (some bulbs are impossible to find replacements for - 160v etc ) or put on Ebay...
