Central heating

Today my central heating to the upstairs and porch has decided it doesnt want to work….
Before I delve in, in the morning Ive a question or two.

So boiler ok, underfloor down stairs all working a treat, upstairs and hot water are on separate two port valves, common pump. So with hot water on pump cuts in and out no issue, and actually pumps. So Im thinking two port valves to the upstairs heating not playing. Very stiff to open manually, and stays open when heating switched off.

Am I correct in thinking that the little micro switch in the two port actuator needs to show the valve open before the pump gets a run signal?

turn the power off and open the valve with the slider lever then let go it should spring back to closed position on its own if it dont the valves want changing .if there not opening and the lever dont slide in to the open position theres a motor inside that can be taken out and checked its 240 volt and you can get them for about 18 quid

Probably the valve, used to get loads of calls outside as the temps dropped
