ive cut 100 little brackets today out of 20x40x4 angle there only 30mm long and going to be painted.

so i was thinking of using a cement mixer with a load of road plainings in to take the sharp edges off.

idealy i think a load of little punchings would be better than road plainings, but i cant get any.

do you think plainings will work?? any other ideas???

How about 1/2 a bag of pebbles or pea gravel

road planings will smear tar on them. I'd put a full shovels of mixed 20mm ballast in with some water and leave it running a few hours

Yep - no tar to smear on them unlike the road planings

well thats working a treat!!!

had it running for half hour and the sharp edges have gone and the mill scales wearing off.
