cellulose vs polyester + 1k lacquer

from reading this forum over the last few months it seems there is only one way to spray safe without an airfed mask which is cellulose , as 2k has icocynates , but whats the story with polyester base coats with 1k laquer's , this system seems to be as safe as celly but with the benifit of having metallic colours and is applied simmilar to 2k , now i know its not as good as 2k but surely its better than celly , or am i missing something

1k clear tends to age fast , yellows and /or cracks like crows feet after a few years...maybe theres better stuff out recently ??

Hmm so, because of 1k laquer aint well wearing cellulose is still prefered,its a shame as the polyester system seems like the perfect solution for people who can't use 2k

same with celly clear ...id not be keen using any one part clear on something that matters

I bought a liter of it and am yet to spray it but from what I've read on the net it's very good stuff.

Ive used it on bike wheels and fairings, so far so good but weather it will stand up to the test of time is yet to be proven, great finish and shine to it tho.

ive not heard of anyone using that stuff on cars for years and years and years.

Coach enamel was the way it was done years ago, My dad was a coach painter and its a long drawn out process, Enamel dries slow and each coat is flatted.
