Hi does any one have or use the cebora pocket plasma 25 or autocut 25 transformer based machine, what thickness will they cut on mild steel thanks in advance.
I have the ProArc version of the same machine (also sold as Marquette and one of the Lincoln models.)
It will do 1/8" easily (3.1mm.) Will do 3/16" (4.76mm) slowly and not a clean cut.

thanks scott I posted a reply but not sure if I sent it back to you I'm new to this site and a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to emails etc.I have the ProArc version of the same machine (also sold as Marquette and one of the Lincoln models.)

Thanks scott ,I've read lots about your alternator welder with interest as I have a petbow factory made unit made from a large alt 180 amp and am very impressed with its performance but it doesn't have an inductor in the weld line, would this restrict the power much if I were to fit one, the weld output is already quite smooth without but I am quite interested in trying things out of curiosity, anyway back to my main question about the cebora pocket plasma, mine has a cp30 torch that you push to the work to start then once started the air pressure pushes the torch head back to break the contact, I have read that weldm art do a alpha 3 upgrade torch for these machines that boasts pilot arc or air starts,do you know if they work the opposit way around ie the tip is earthed through the torch and breaks the contact from tip and nozzle once the air flows enabling the free air start and in your opinion are the any good thankyou.
