Cebora mono 1202 welder

Hi everyone,
I have my father's cebora mono 1202 welder which includes the brazing attachments, it's a fantastic welder when I use it, but have noticed the mains ( 230v ) cable is is now perished and I need to replace it, the original cable has steel 3 core cable (not ideal ) but I remember my dad using it in the 70s and putting insulation tap around it then, what size would everyone recommend I replace the power lead with please

What sort of plug are you running it on?

a nice piece of rubber cable ho7rnf 2.5mm three core and long ish but not crazy ,,, or very short and have a decent extension lead with a break out to suit a grinder as well . probably a nice 16 amp plug too , one of the ones with a clear back then you can check for water or loose wires just by looking , and a 16 to 13 adapter for when you just need one ,,,, you always end up needing one for something.
