Cebora 1665 HF

Hi guys. I bought a Cebora 1665 HF On Ebay last year. I have now sourced an argon bottle and have bought a foot pedal from Tech Arc Uk that I ordered to be correctly wired for my welder. There is a 10 pin socket on the welder and the same on the foot pedal. I have used the welder with stick and it works well but I really want to make a start on Tig. My question is, should the gas flow start when I press on the pedal, or does it only start when the arc has been struck? There is a PL programme for using with the foot pedal. The amps run up and down when I press on it. I have run through a few other programmes and can hear the gas flow so have proved the solenoid but no gas flows when I just press the pedal.

Assuming there is a pre gas flow setting on machine? I would think there is or a factory setting. Should not matter if using torch switch or pedal you need a pre flow. I find .3 of a second is minimum for a nice clean start. Although I'm not familiar with that machine I'm sure someone on hear is.

Gas and hf should immediately come on the moment the pedal is touched. Pre flow or not the gas should work when pressed. All the preflow does is delay arc initiation for the period of time set.
