My neighbour (who is renting) has installed a CCTV camera with a PIR light facing directly across my property along the side of my house towards my front gate, if I walk down my path the light is directly in my face as is the camera. I can find laws on cameras but not much on the lighting. Any ideas?
Their property is the downstairs flat of a converted house so the camera is also facing directly at the pathway to the upstairs flat, talk about inconsiderate. Ironic really as he came and asked about parking in the road when he moved in as he did not want to upset the neighbours!
The neighbour at the rear had one fitted a few months back and the light was shining in my living room, as a temporary measure (with the help of a laser level and tripod!
) I screwed an MDF board up on the fence as it was in my peripheral vision whilst watching TV. We had a chat and he fitted a small board on his soffit that excluded the light but this neighbours camera is going to need a complete cover or repositioning.
