Cast iron weld needed in Glasgow?

Any local members able to help out?
I have broken a boss off a customers power steering pump and need it welded back on. I have never attempted to weld cast before. It is pretty thin which is why I think it broke with not much force applied. It's on the feed side not the pressure side.
I don't have any fancy tig rods to even practise with.
Cash or beer tokens available.......

I do have oxy and both flavours of tig and migs but this may be a one shot deal and I can't afford to make it worse!
Strangely enough, before my tigs I used to gas weld everything but I never had any success with brazing. What would the panel suggest if I were to try it with the oxy? Normal gas rods or silicon bronze or any other weird stuff?
I need to try and sort it locally at least before I have to get another pump.

2.4mm Tungsten either an AC balled one or one with a rounded end. Preferably using a pedal. Or I'd use around 60amps after preheat. With SIF No8.

The actual casting in that area is only about 2 maybe 3mm max.I was reading about ss rods maybe being used?

If it's definately CI (no chance it's a cast steel?) i'd braze it too, TIG and oxyfuel brazing wires are different but both have flavours that are sometimes described as 'silicon bronze'. The oxyfuel flavours contain loads of zinc and will smoke, spit and make a mess with TIG.

Oxyfuel... C2 is the 'normal' brazing wire, aka silicon bronze or sifbronze #1 and is copper, zinc with a dash of Si. C5 is nickel bronze aka sifbronze #2. Either would work
TIG... the sif #8 Shox mentioned is copper + tin, designation C11. The other usual suspect is silicon copper C9 aka sif #968. Again either would work

I think this maybe cast steel. I was cleaning it up today with a carbide burr and it cuts like steel. I,m pretty sure the AN adaptor is stainless so that may help if I use ss rods?
Maybe gonna grow a pair and attack it myself over the weekend.

Doesn't look like cast steel to me. Doesn't look like a very good design either. I'd give the stealer a call and see if there's a recall/warranty issue (regardless of age)

It's a stock GM pas pump that has been modified by a company in the US to take the AN fittings. There really isn't alot of meat there at all but I have to deal with this here as sending it back is not an option.
Grinding the crack to a V was giving me small shards with no sparks like grinding a forging.
What else could it be?
Google has shown me that they source these in China. ;-(

I'd leave as is, just braze it up, if using No8 you'll find it doesn't wick much at all. So a nice fillet and it'll not go anywhere.

And in future I'd be going the same before I went anywhere near another one with a spanner
