Please don't be put off.
It's just very discouraging to take time to help the "younger generation" only to have them sum up your whole post with "Meh, I saw it different on U-toob, so you must be all wrong".
It's a fact, and many are getting tired of the treatment.
Also 99.44/100 are good, it's the .66% that ruins it for everyone.
I'd like to say that it's not just the younger generation, I've met plenty and worked with a few old codgers (old before their time too) who's base attitude was 'You're wrong'. Looking back with a bit of psychology I'd say they were mostly not very good and insecure because of it. Belittling the youth boosted them a bit. The sad old gits.
Examaple: Looking scornfully at a mixer full of fresh mortar and claiming it's not fit for brick laying and the bloke who filled the mixer being a useless etc. Chucking it about tablespoon of water and then proclaiming it perfect. Yeh, right you are.
People haven't suddenly changed because of the interent, there's always been good ones and bad ones.
