Cast frying pan repair

ive been asked to repair a very old cast frying pan that has cracked. What would people's suggest as the best method of repair?

I was thinking brazing? As it would be lest prone to crack again when heated.

v it out heat up with a decent propane torch and braze it in with ocyacetylene torch and grind flush . dunno what the grub will taste like though

Is the crack in an area of direct heat and if so how hot is that direct heat... could the brazing withstand it without becoming a molten blob again.

it would do u need to get it to red heat before it melts

as long as he keeps the eggs runny then no probs

I will only be subject to enough heat to cook sausages and the like so I dout the braze would melt.

No good in this house then, our lass would soon have that pan doing an impression of the sun and the brazing mixed in with the T bone
