Carver J clamps

Can anyone tell me how much the jaws on these clamps move towards each other when the screw is tightened fully?

Yes, they dont have a huge amount of travel per notch. Id say they loose a little bit of efficiency when they get to virtually the end of the travel.
They work well in pairs

it is over 2 notches i know that much as if you put one on and tighten it up fully the next one you can put on starts 2 notches further up with a bit of slack

if you know how many notches there are divide by 450 and times by 2

id guess at 25-30mm but its cold outside and warm inside so a guess is all its going to be

I went to a car boot earlier this year, I was the first one in, first stall there were 3, 6" clamps I asked how much and the bloke said £4 each I nearly tore his arm off I dont think i've ever had a better bargain

Jammy so-and-so The Carver clamps for machinery are top-notch too, pricey but not yet seen one fail.
