Hi all
I have been giving a real Thought to a career in welding, iv been looking around at some college courses and im finding alot of different ones, however im not sure witch one suits my needs
What is the market like for welders, i was watching some programe on discovery channel Lol, and kids come right from school in america and go into college and can earn a decent wage when they complete there course, however that is in america
Has anyone got any info on what the standard welding qulification is, when i look for coarses the city and guilds site comes up alot, to get started what should i be looking for in terms of a college and course qualification?
I live in glasgow and recently the ship yards have alot of work for the next 15 year, or so i read, so what would be the proper course and qualification to undertake a job down the ship yards, many of my friends say that u have to have had Apprenticeship at the ship yards but im 24 now and that would'nt happen i dont think
I like the look of the deep sea welding very much, what is involved in this, but im pretty sure its very difficult to get into
any info would be of great help
