Carbide Burrs for Aluminium

Can anyone recommend a good reasonably priced supplier for these? 6mm shank, looking for mostly the christmas tree profile, and the odd round one too.

I bought a job lot some time ago from a trade show and they have been brilliant and were very reasonably priced. Since then I have tried the cheap chinese ebay ones which were completely useless!

I've got mykastag tungsten carbide burrs. Not the cheapest, i paid over £50 for 3 probably about 8 years ago. I got a couple of cheap long shafted ones from the states but they are pretty useless.

Have you looked at the Procut range

garryson are the best. i have a cone shaped carbide one and had it for years and its cut a lot of stainless steel and still going strong

I bought a few special ones for ally from https://www.cromwell.co.uk/ they have to be the very coarse pitch cutters to save clogging.

Didn't know they made burrs, handy to know. I use there flap wheels after the initial burr work and rate them highly.

Master abrasives look very expensive (£30+ each for anything of decent size). I will have a look at the procut garryson range. I dont mind paying as long as they last and work well - the job lot I bought at a kit car show have been brilliant and have done us over 2 years but I have no idea on manufacturer etc (think I paid £40 for about 8 different ones!).

As soon as you us the mykastag burrs you know they are worth the money. I use mine on steel as well, the proverbial knife through butter.
