Caravan holiday,Anyone?

When we were in NZ touring about. We had a couple of night on a site at the 90 mile beach. Our neighbour had a camper van that expanded out and was very spacious. I was shocked later on to see the back of the camper drop down and a wee car roll out

It's not the size of the caravan you've got to worry about, it's the size of the car they're towing

My USA mate called me just this minute, He has put 15,000 miles on the truck in a month, He said the caravan manufacturer he delivers for Make around 54,000 units a year, He has an app on his phone for finding the best diesel prices, Retcons he can save 50cents per gallon over the big fuel stations, Don't know what his truck holds but he has an extra 105 gallon custom made tank, filter and pump bolted down in the truck bed,

Good choice of truck Gordon, there is a million mile club in the states and most of the members are running the dodge ram trucks. Some are on 1.7 million miles doing the same thing as your friend.

A guy in Canada a few years back told me they are known as 'toy haulers', usually have a sports car or Harley in the rear garage.
The motorhome we hired was a piddling little 27 foot thing with single slideout, it was dwarfed on some sites but equally in the Rockies it was about as big as you could squeeze onto some of the rural site pitches!
