Car what part is this injector part

Ok long story short some numpty(me )put the wrong fuel in the car just before we went on hols so had no car to get to the air port any how got round that came hone from airport back to work and the next weekend was ******* down and kids wanted a cooker fitted and washing mechine fixed and one of the grandkids needed looking after on the Sunday so that weekend was out
Me and a mate drained the fuel in tank on the day I broke down but could not get it started fast forward a few days I put in a new fuel filter and still could not get it started but needed a 2nd person with me to bleed the system
Any how had a day of in the week for docs and had the afternoon to have a good look at car and with 2 of us one starting one bleeding we got it going again

Starts runs seams fine just smelled a bit of fuel so I've found a small leak on one of the injectors what I think is coming out of a common rail injector injection nozzle inlet connector

The metal pipe with the silver nut seams to be dry its the screw part that looks like it leaking any one know what seals it this end a washer of what type etc ?

The car is cmax ford 08 year

Would this just be a standard seal ? I went to local motor factors but the only thing i could buy is a whole injector at 250 quid while if that what it cost me so be it but if its just a copper rubber cork washer and its 5 quid or 20 quid for a set I'd rather do that

Without any knowledge of these I'd suggest that it's probably a copper washer from the image.
You may get away with loosening the silver nut and nipping up the adaptor, then retightening the silver nut.

yes ive tryed undoing and niping up but thought it sorted it as did stop but on using the car it leaks more than before looking on the immage there seams to be a washer dought it would be rubber and cork could degrade and block the injector so copper seams toi be the only way unless its a taped thread ?

If you get it out you could try annealing it then you could have better luck stopping it leaking.

the nozzle or the seal ?

and it does turn ive seen it move as i turned the nut on the pipe

someone did say to drop a bit of thread lock on it but i cant see that working with the amount of heat is about in there as well as the fuel added that will attack the thread lock

Its a copper washer. Replace or anneal. Tighten the adaptor to the injector first, then tighten the injector pipe to it, but hold the adaptor still with a spanner.

If the adaptor is screwed too tight, it may have cracked the washer, so check carefully.

If no washer, it has been lost. I have probably got some here .............. somewhere.

its not been removed at all so if there was a washer in there it should still be there would these be a standard size or made for the job by ford them selves

as said if i can buy one off the shelf id do it rather than bodge it that would be a last resort if they cant be bought do it right even if it cost £200 for a new injector but that would be as a last resort as well

It is a Bosch item. I doubt if Ford would supply it seperately, but a Bosch dealer will have them. No idea if its a standard size without measuring one.

not sure what make as of yet only drive it proper today to know if its working ok seams to does not start that easy but im guessing the leak would be todo with that as that would get air in the system while standing around will phone ford next week so if theres any seprate parts

Taken one apart to look this aft. Washer is 10mm OD and 5mm ID by 1mm thick.

Not difficult to remove, and annealing is easy. Loads of info on the net.
