Currently looking at refurbishing a car transporter I've got down the bottom of the garden. It quite possibly requires a total overhaul, with new axle mounts, bed and ramps, which has me in 2 minds at the moment.
I could refurbish the trailer, spending quite a bit on sorting it out, or sell it on/scrap it and build something hopefully stronger and better.
To save on a little weight, whichever direction I choose to take, will 3mm zintec steel sheet be enough to create runners from?
If folded like the above, this should add some strength into the runners surely? Last thing I want is for it to sag anywhere.. Additionally, there will be a series of holes through the sheet for strapping points, but there are also some to go on to sides of the trailer..
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated...
