Car insurance telematics ??

Ok on insurance, just sorting mine out and again as once in the past i have Hastings as best, worst being £653 and Hasting wit the Telematics at £345 BUT with the Telematics fitted again.

I got sick of it last time, a good 8 years ago i bet, i was then driving again a Shogun, not exactly quick off the mark or fast breaker etc etc. It did my head in though.
It was so dam tetchy, i mean bad. it even said i was using my phone whilst driving when i used the google maps, and setting up not whilst moving,
anybody else used it to find same results.

Has anybody had any benefits or negatives with the Telematics.

son had it for has car and i had to use an app when i needed to drive it every time i forgot and your not insured

I hate Hastings insurance company. Not for price, but for other reasons.

Mine renews in a couple of weeks and the price they have given me is better than the one they are offering on comparison sites, pleasantly surprised.
Also shocked to see the 4 slightly cheaper ones have quadrupled my excess, guess I am staying with my current company.

Ok as mad as it is now i got the same Hastings with no telematics for £50 a year more

I think telematics are the the end of the wedge, so I would say avoid at all costs.

Insurance companies do everything that can to avoid paying claims, telematics gives them thousands of possibilities to get out of a claim.

For £50 It’s a no brainier.

For me it’s bad enough having my wife as a back seat driver without having an electronic nanny recording your every move

On a different thing, but car tax, this is on disability, and just my luck atleast fourth car to be for me.

Does my head in as to why near as dam everything can be changed on online but this cant be and need to be done at the post office.

Need it for tomorrow so they best sort it today.
