Car body jig for 60s to 80s ordinary cars

This is possibly not the place for this thread but,

I don't have any experience of body pulling but have a load of cars to do.
Could do with some advice on books/videos to learn about it and what
second hand car body jig and brackets are suitable for escort marina etc
standard cars of that era.

Any one set up their own jig?

depends on what u want to do......
if it's just pulling the odd chassis leg out one of these will do most jobs.....having had one in the past....

just the yellow part not the bench......the extra long leg for the jig got bolted to the sills for the full length of the car...
Mine had a swivel head meaning I could pull from straight ahead to out the side.....it's a bit limited but in those days it was OK...
mine just cost a little time and the steel.....
Now if u want a proper modern Lazer jig u'll need a mortgage.........

You probably don't need a jig, a dozer will do most jobs, an old car bench is only worth scrap money these days so keep a close eye on garage closure auctions,

So start with a body dozer and a bench.
I do happen to want to do a job like the one above where the front leg has bent down
through impact and wants pulling up an inch

I was jealous of the blokes with a Celette and most of them were jealous of the bloke with a Korek.

I had a dozer and acquired another.
You can do a lot with a pair of dozers.

Although the guy's skills are undisputed......flexing sheet steel for the 3rd time ie. Pressed during manufacturing, then crumpled and final straightened. Makes me wonder what the crystalline structure of the steel is at the end?
Don't know if I'd want such a badly damage car back

look at the pic of the caroliner above, the yellow bit is basically a dozer.
it‘s a a long beam and a hinged upright, with a ram to push the upright.

Dozer1 x tube, 2 x tube jacks, 2 sill clamps & and body ram kit, the chain is minimal you want more.

Majority of his chassis repairs, he straightens the car then replaces the chassis legs (depending on severity of damage).

He's had lot of CoPart UK cars through his workshop by the look of it.
