Hi to all on the Forum,
I'm in need of some help with a caravan problem, not exactly welding based I know but the members knowledge covers a wide base, hopefully in this case electronic.
I had the van out last weekend for first time this year to find the flush doesn't work on the Thetford toilet.
The problem was narrowed down to the flush pump not turning. The pump was removed & I was then able to free off some crud on the impeller which was stopping it turning, pump is now rotating freely.
In order to get the pump out for inspection I had to remove the conductors from the 6 way PCB edge connector, which cnnects the pump to the flushing switch PCB (overcomplicated or what).
Whilst trying to reinstate the wire I have damaged the the 2 pins which both connect the cable to the pump & protrude through to make the contact n the PCB. The pins have holes in them like a tear drop & act like a Scotchblock, in that they cut through the cable insulation to make the connection.
Can anybody identify a manafacturer or supplier of this type of connector, Doubtless the connector comes as part of a replacement pump but at £33+, it would be an expensive repair for a connector which will probably cost pence.
I attach a photo as an aid to identification. The connector is 6 way & the pitch between PCB contacts 5mm
