I was in there from Feb 2016 until Feb 2017, and I never signed any contract in that time. Do you think that works in my favour? In your contract did it say that you would have to pay them back for any training costs if you left after a certain time? If so and if you don't owe them any money then you have effectively paid for the courses and they are yours.

Remember to next time get the original copies of the certificates when you do a course and give your employer a copy.
The issue in that case would be one of whether they can keep the original or a record/ duplicate. The company may also have to keep certificates/ records of training after you have left.
This is incase you try to sue them for something and they can then show that you were properly trained to know the hazards/risks and how to deal with them.
Are they posting your originals?Guys I went with subject access request and they are copying all my certificates and posting them out.
Thanks so much !

Question is are you certain photo copies are sufficient for any future job applications..No they are sending me copies, what I was told was 'we don't give them out because we paid for them'
I replied well I was talking to citizens advice and according to the Subject access request under section 7 in the 1998 data protection right, I am legal too have everything that you own with my name on it.
They didn't reply too that and asked too call me back, I said no problem, but just remind this will be a lot handier for both of us if I just get them.
She phoned back 15 mins later and asked if I want copies sent out or emailed.
Felt soooo good too have one up on that company. They treated me so badly at the end.
No problem in posting the update![]()
