Can I fit the 5kg spools of wire in my 150te?

I've been looking at buying a bigger spool of wire as I went through the 0.7 spool in no time. Was just about to buy one off ebay but noticed it said won't fit hobby welders.

Am I stuck with the mini spools?

if there is physically the space to fit one in then you will probably need an adaptor for the centre
just checked and the 150te will accept 5kg reels

Where do I get an adapter from?

if you got the welder new i think you should have got one with it if not you local welding supplier or ebay or welequip at the top of the page

Bought it second hand so no adapter with it. Also weldequip was the first place I looked for wire & they are sold out, also looked for an adapter but all I could find was one for converting 5kg to 15kg here http://www.weldequip.com/wire-adaptor.htm

Just been told that the black disc prior to the plastic tighteneing nut are stepped to take the larger spool. Just looked & it is stepped so I should be ok.

dont forget that you must have one at both sides of the reel

Hadn't thought of that but just checked & the bit on the other side attached to the body also has a step, so all good.
