Supplied as the full gearbox/motor assembly unfortunately (got them in stock). Your wire feed problems are more likely due to the condition of the wire (rusty) which will have blocked your torch. Replace the wire & service the torch, should be good as new. Got a full torch service parts kit in stock suitable for that model if you want to PM me

Me and my mate have looked and it seems the part arrowed has worn and pushes apart when locked into place, the metal roller that sits into it doesnt go low enough to turn the wire, that also looks abit worn so could so with one of those aswell really!
How much is the assembly delivered please with the roller?
Gave a couple of clarkes to a mate to make one good out of the pair, he never bothered.. will check with im if he still has them cos wire feed was ok on both. If he has them will send one on. Failing that you could make another out of metal, did that on my sip to sort wire feed an worked a treat. will post picks if cant get bits for you.
Cheers Rich that would be really good as its such a small part to have to buy a whole new assembly,i would ofcourse pay for postage and some extra for your hassle
rry took a while to get back, skipped the welders..
Will try and get pics on over weekend. basically all i used was abit of inch box with a hole drilled at oned for pivot and welded on two dilled plates to take "pressure bearing" attatched spring and adjuster at end and was away.
Yep ive tried putting the bearing the other way round it still doesnt work the plastic arm is worn and widens so the bearing goes too far into it and doesnt push on the wire properly
you could drill a hole through it and mount the bearing on a different shaft. Sounds like the last person was taking the tension spring off and doing a bit of ham-fisted overtightening. If they were having problems, check the roller isn't worn. That might've been why they were doing it, instead of replacing the roller.
From you picture - the wire is sitting quite far above the roller? Is the feed to the left in the wrong position? COuld it be lowered?
Richm is on about making me a replacement so hopefully ill be ok if he can do that, but if i can sort it out myself that would be better all round
It does look like the previous owner has forced the arm down for the wire to feed properly and its pushed the gap in the arm further apart, like you say Devilgate i think this is due to the bearing being worn as my mate noticed when we first tried to use it
The easiest solution i gues would be somehow to pull the gap in the arm together so the bearing doesnt get pushed into it
And yes the wire doesnt sit in the bottom bearing just slightly above and to the left of it,but it doesnt look like i can do anything about adjusting it
