Sockets for O2 sensors have a cut out section for the cableAre they O2 sensor or such, or glow plugs.
They look "wrong" to be spark plugs sockets.
No thread on inside, the pic is just one I pulled off the interweb, I know Mac tools did them but I can't find any now, they are a bit unconventional but they are very good, you can get into tight spaces with them.

havnt seen them on turbos, coz its too far for the flame /heat to travel and the turbo would stop the heat anyway.maybe they position them differently on turbo engines ?
I've only seen those on the air intake manifold, had one which was tricky to get to
maybe they position them differently on turbo engines ? - I guess they all really need to be in the manifold (mounted to steel vs plastic) but also somewhere where the heat will be evenly distributed over all cylinders?
They do in fact a type that pre heats and have a reservoir of diesel about a couple of egg cups full and it gravity feeds, and starts a fire in the manifold, before they actually crank, you used to turn the key to the first position and wait to hear the 'poof' as it ignited -------then it was time to crank. They only catch fire when the engine is cranking,
