We will, saved a few of them over the yearsIf it is hedgehog, do find him and let him out. I've to evict 3 hedgehogs over the years, one from an attached garage and two from my current shed.
My shed (and that garage for that matter) has plenty of difficult to see hidey holes, I found the best time to find them was late in the evening when they wake up and think about looking for food. I was then able to follow the rustling noisesWe will, saved a few of them over the years

My mother was a primary school teacher years ago, they had a class hamster which escaped & hid. It was eventually “arrested” by the local copper doing his door checking beat. He shone a torch through the window & spotted the eyes in the beam. It wouldn’t happen today, plod doing the beat … long gone!I’m not sure if it helps but many years ago I had a Hamster that would get out occasionally in the basement the only was you could catch him was when the lights were out and his eyes shone in the flashlights beam.
You needed a simple bucket trap .I’m not sure if it helps but many years ago I had a Hamster that would get out occasionally in the basement the only was you could catch him was when the lights were out and his eyes shone in the flashlights beam.
