My customer asked if I can help him get it going, I'm a bit short on years to have seen one of these so I thought I'd ask on here to see what I'm up against.
Well as far as I'm aware the Maxarc welding alternator is brushless so there shouldn't be a problem there, unless its fubared...
The JLO engine has a points ignition system as far as I am aware (I have a flywheel extraction tool somewhere). Provided you have a spark, compression and fuel/oil mix (20:1) it should run, on my JLO there is/was a button under the carb on the engine casing which is an engine cut out button, check the wiring and disconnect it.
