Can any off the stainless folks do some welding for me?

As the title says.

I am going to be turning my old trailer into a bike trailer and have aquired these



The problem is they are very narrow but i was wondering if i cut one side of each of the lengths (6 in total) if any of the stainless welders could weld them back together for me but onbviously now double width.

Im in no rush but if anyone would be willing to do it, please let me know and we can discuss the fee

The work involved in doing that would cost more than just getting some made the correct width, and will be a better job,

Ok thanks for your reply. I didnt think for someone to weld just the 2 halfs together would be as much as that.

Will have to re think my plan

Could i weld them using my normal mild steel mig setup and just paint the welds to stop them going rusty. Similar to a car exhaust, do you think?

You could but with the disimilar metals you would get accelerated corrosion

i have welded stainless with my mig with just steel wire it was an emergency at work in the kitchen and the welds still holding up with no rust 8 years on
