Definitely a 'text to speech' computer voice and the theory reduces the artistic value of something creative to a mathematical formula. The classic E-type fixed head would look totally different and less distinctive had the designers followed 'rules' like that. Having said that, there's plenty of cafe racers that look horrid due to poor proportions, probably because they were on a budget and used what fitted.
Agree- its in the eye of the beholder not the brain of the calculator or CAD program, plus most of us have to build bikes that are actually ridden not trailered so have to work-rain or shine and on dodgy roads surfaces which are all too common nowadays.
That CB 750s seat looks like it would connect with the rear tyre on the bumps round here (that bike looks like it started out a bobber and morphed into a cafe racer).
My take on it was thats his opinion of what works right for him, I often don't know why I like a bike/car-it just looks good-end of story-but for me its got to be capable of getting me and my gear to rallies rain or shine without a support van and or trailer as well.
