Cable size.

Today i took delivery of a nice new ck 9 torch, nice and light, flexible. Quite impressed by it so far. But disapointed that the cable they supplied from the torch switch to the machine seems to be just a bit of two core flex, looks to be about 1, possibly 1.5 sq. the cores sre to big to go into the plug to my thermal arc machine.

So whats the minimum cable size acceptable here. Hopefully i will have some, save a long round trip to a shop.

Don't know about CK specifically but the wire from the switch takes no load really so it's usually very femmer like what you describe. Any basic flex will do really.

Depends if the cable is switching any load or contactor (old school) or a digital signal both require very little.As above.
I would expect 0.5mm square would be fine.
If the existing is ok otherwise could you just solder and heatshrink a short length on the end, down to suit your plug.

Ill have to rake through my box of cable see what i have. But feel a phone call to the supplier is required. At the price, for the complete torch, switch etc, a bit of wire that doesnt fit is quite unacceptable.
