Can anyone remember what the rating was for the old 7.039 T & E cable?

its a bit before my time and is no longer listed in the tables therefore none BS standard

Hi, I remember years ago using multi strand this size for power sockets but the actual size was 7/.036 and the lighting circuit was 7/029, If people don't know what these numbers refer to they are 7strands of .036" for power and 7strands of .029" for lighting.

Hi Gordon,

Thanks very much - just what I needed. When I first started out after leaving tech school we were still using lead covered rubber insulated cable and ironclad fuse boxes. I can remember changing bulb holders where the drop just crumbled because the cable had perished.
