Cable pulling lube

I have a few cables to pull through an 80mm ducting.

Roughly about 25m for each duct. Up to 5 cables of various sizes in each duct. I know you can the proper stuff but for a one off what else could I use that wont affect the cables in any way.

I am hoping that a typical household product will do the job.

Things I have

soap
shampoo
conditioner
washing up liquid (green bio type)
animal internal inspection lube
baby oil (but I am sure thats a big no)
oils & greases (again sure thats a no)
water
hand / skin cream

Thoughts?

ive used washing up liquid before now , thats when someother ' person ',has installed the duct not realising how much space you need to pull a few cables thru

animal internal inspection lube or if you have a bucket you can used the reel thing

normally don't bother with lube. if your needing lube then there is to many cables

I am sure I could do it without lube but lubing it make is so much easier. Especially as there are 3 bends in the duct (1 each end where it comes up out of the ground & one bend where it goes round the trees roots). The bends are gentle but it still adds up over the distance.

As there will be different types of cable from CWA to thin speaker cable the lube should stop the outer insulation getting caught & striped off. Oh & its ribbed ducting as well so that wont help.

The duct with the most cables in will have

1 x 2.5mm2 csa 3 core CWA
2 x 2.5 mm2 csa 3 core rubberised
2 x 2 core speaker wire or 2 x 1.5mm2 csa twin & earth (for switching the genny not power)

The other one will have

1 x 2.5mm2 csa 3 core CWA
2 x 2.5 mm2 csa 3 core rubberised

Oh & both will have a rope just in case I need to add any more.

adding a rope in can sometimes be more bother than blowing a new one in as they tend to get rapped around the cables as they pull in. i would stick to SWA as twin and earth will degrade very quickly if water gets in the duct which it will!
