Cable insulation

Hi guys.
Looking to purchase some 35mm welding cable and just wondered on its flexibility? Is it all pretty much pvc coated or is there an alternative insulation that is more flexible. I suppose that the amount of copper in the core must dictate it's movement also. Any advice, thanks.

The more strands it's made up of, the more flexible it is. 'TRS' (Tough Rubber Sheath') is more flexible than PVC, especially in cold weather.

I bought a drum of 50mm ultra fine stranded welding cable with TRS insulation about ten years ago to run power to my 100kW induction furnace. The cables were threaded inside 3/4" 'Brewers Hose' (synthetic rubber hose) and had chilled water pumped round them for cooling. I'm racking my brains where I got it, but I think it was Farnell, who were actually cheapest at the time. These cables carried thousands of amps at 3kHz

Proper welding cable is as flex able as that size cable will be its rubber coated it coils nicely a bit like air line or gas hose
