heres a scrap[ cable crusher and cutter ive made it crushes up to 25mm which splits the insulation from the conductor and just peels apart it also has slitting wheel for cutting armoured cable with the apropriate wheel disks. it will slice up to 4inch armoured running at 100rpm on a 2 horse motor and cut about 100m in 3mins the only thing needs finishing is guards and a quick kill switch as it wont stop if wire gets hold of u

Nice bit of kit, it's stripping the XLPE insulation from the cores in SWA I find a lot harder than the older PVC stuff!

Whats the minimum size of cable it will crush please? Will it do like household grey twin and earth?

minimum size is 1.0 mm double coated or single

What a machine, I never saw 1 before. I have spent hours burning cable and stripping with a knife for scrap copper. I recon for all the times I would use it, I could make up a hand driven one with just a handle on the end of the feed wheel shaft, hope you don't have a patent on it. Thanks very much (",).

i saw sumthing simlar in a scrap yard and fabricated my own up using 6inch channel and materials available i.rang 3 diffrent firms up who make them askin for a exploded diagram for spairs and was told on ya bike

hi what kind of machine have you used to make this? have you got a diagram forthe design?

its just made up as u go along i can take a few mesurements and some photos with the roller removed of the shaft and tell u the rpm if thats any good
