Cabinet building advise

I despise playing equipment moving Tetris just slightly more than I hate working with wood. I hate working with wood....

I have an old kitchen table that is very solid and useful as a bench in the workshop. I really need to create more storage space and move it around. I have decided to mount it a plinth with castors and some side panels. I am not sure if it is better to sit the side panels on the plinth or drop the side panels down the side. I think is looks better to have the side panels on the sides of the plinth. Do you think it makes any differences as the sides are not really structural?

This is "Mig welding" site.....make the cabinet from .....Steel....
Looks like a simple plasma cut and bend job, weld up some corners, add paint.

I all for a total ban on woodworking. However wood is a material, best for firewood in my book.

To answer the OP, fix the side and back panels to the legs and the plinth it will stiffen it up no end. Glue and screw would be my choice.

I am going to do both but my question is do I sit the side panel on side or top of the plinth. I think I do it in the side as the screws will be in shear and will be stronger?

Yes, fix the panels to the side of the plinth for the reason you said.
