C02 regulator

Hello all. Been using c02 for ages and yesterday bought ardonshield from hobbyweld. Can go for 2 months and do nothing so thought hobbyweld was best option.
Can I use the c02 regulator and what rate should it be set at.

You could use the C02 regulator, but the fitting to the argon-mix bottle is different. Instead of a female loose nut, you need a male bullnose fitting. Adapters are available:

Female to Bullnose - CO2 to Argon & Argon/CO2.

The flow rate should be 8 to 12 litres per minute.

Check the max working pressure of the regulator to make sure it is suitable for the higher pressure in your argoshield cylinder. I would not have thought you could use it

Got a new argon regulator today. What nozzle do I need to fit the hose to.

If your caliper tips are showing 15.49mm in the threads, then the OD of the threads could be 16.66mm, which would make the fitting 3/8" BSP. In that case, you would need a female 3/8" nut and a cone swivel 1/4 inch ( 6.5mm ) hose tail, price £3.79:
