Buzz bar

Hello this is a general welding question but did not know where to post. Sorry
But would it be possible to use copper buzz bar as a heat sink a guy weighed some in at me dad's place and before it moves on if it can be used I'll keep a few lengths.

I have a couple of bits of buss bar there and I've used them for backing, the holes are a bit of a pain tho.
