for polishing what paint ? if so an angle grinder is way too fast for paint and will just destroy it

I'm a first time sprayer (in progress) and so far the items to get started keep building up and trying to save on abit pennies now to see how I get on without spending more if needed. Wanting to use something quick with enough power to use the G3 to bend the paint in

a polisher only spins around 1400 to 3000 rpm a grinder will just cause too much friction and burn the paint

It says in the description:- "DRONCO Coarse Cleaning Fleece, or "Clean & Strip Discs", are outstanding for removal of paint from car panels."
They'll do a lot more than polishing & blending the paint!
I'm assuming (hoping!) that you mean to use them to remove any signs of the old paint.

I know I could be abit slow with all this new stuff but wouldn't dream of using a strip & clean disc for polishing lol maybe I worded my post wrong ;-(
I found a 320V Snooper for £23.48 that might do the trick, not sure if it has enough rpm to auctal bend in the paint however I will find this out

do you mean a 230v
this one by any chance if so its no good for compound you need the type that looks like a grinder and has a foam head on it specifically for using the compund

you seem to have got a little mixed up with things if you will be blending you dont need a machine polisher but they do save a lot of work by hand no to mention its quicker.
also if you have never really painted before you will be no good at blending it takes time to learn and get right, its not as simple as spraying an area and sticking some g3 and a polisher on it

To be quite honest with you snooper, Yes I thought of just of a polisher and just let that do most of the work however your right I've not read up alot of blending and maybe need to look at it more after spraying, think I'm best to start just spraying whole panels and see how I get on.

You can buy a Slverline grinder type polisher for about £50 and before anyone says yes but it's Silverline my local motorbike shop has had one in almost daily use for years now with no problems.
I don't know if I was just unlucky but the last time I tried to use a stripping disc on a door panel, I ended up with it bowed badly. I put it down to the heat generated??
Has anyone else experienced similiar results?
I bought a cheap polisher some years ago, it is still a lot of work. My neighbour just used very fine wet and dry. Made a splendid job of it.

Colour polish
Depends how bad the orange peel/drips n sags are. I use :-
800 for any drips etc (on a block)then
1200
1500
2000
onto polisher at 900RPM
Then G6 followed by G3 and to get a really good finish (if its your own) you can finish off with G10 or 3M perfect-it Foam polishing pad glaze.
